Colorblindess is like denying an ugly kid the Halo Effect

I was that asshole that would use “colorblindness” as an excuse to not be willing to talk about actual racial issues in this country. Highly recommend the book “Caste” which made a huge impact on me this year. Same principe at play as to when I was a fat ugly kid and could feel the Halo effect at work and then getting told that it’s “what’s on the inside that counts”
