Phase 3: 75Hard — Day 1

Yesterday began my 335th day since starting Andy Frisella’s 75Hard Program. It’s been quite the ride. For Phase 3 you must do the following every day for 30 days otherwise you have to start the entire year over again.

The critical tasks each day for 30 days are as follows:

  1. 2–45 minute workouts. One of them must be outdoors.
  2. Take a progress picture
  3. 10 pages of reading (non-fiction and hard copy)
  4. Drink 1 gallon of water
  5. Follow a diet
  6. No cheat meals or alcohol
  7. 5 minute cold shower
  8. Random Act of Kindness
  9. Conversation with a Stranger
  10. 8 Power List Critical Tasks

For Day 1, I took my dog Peanut on a 45 minute walk around New Rochelle, NY where my dad lives. Then, I did a 45 minute workout in our basement where my dad has some workout equipment. For the random act of kindness, I offered my dad a bunch of things such as buying him groceries. He finally asked if I could help him fold up the poker table. As he went to fold the chairs, I told him to stop and I would get that too. He knew something was up and I told him that I had to do a random act of kindness each day.

For my conversation with a stranger, I met a nice family on my walk with Peanut and spent some time talking to them. Turned out they had a hamster named Peanut. Peanut played with their family Dog Daisy.
