Phase 3 — Day 3 | 75Hard Challenge
Today is Day 3of Phase 3 of Andy Frisella’s 75Hard Program. For Phase 3 you must do the following every day for 30 days otherwise you have to start the entire year over again.
The critical tasks each day for 30 days are as follows:
- 2–45 minute workouts. One of them must be outdoors.
- Take a progress picture
- 10 pages of reading (non-fiction and hard copy)
- Drink 1 gallon of water
- Follow a diet
- No cheat meals or alcohol
- 5 minute cold shower
- Random Act of Kindness
- Conversation with a Stranger
- 8 Power List Critical Tasks
Here’s a summary of my day with also some interesting insights I had at the end
1st 45 minute workout: walked my dog Peanut
2nd 45 minute workout: went to my rooftop gym
Random Act of Kindness: I ended up buying a group of 3 homeless people dinner and coffee at the local Wawa. I spent about 20 minutes looking for people to buy coffee for. I noticed I had a thought called “this person would think it’s weird if I offered to help” and finally I just walked up to some homeless guy and said can I help you out. I felt like Batman from the interaction. Buy some people coffee and dinner. They call me a Saint and said I came out of nowhere. Then I said goodbye and disappeared into the evening.
I wrote about it on my Facebook tonight.
For my conversation with a stranger I actually invited one of the homeless men into the Wawa with me and spent about 10 minutes with him in line getting to know him. Really interesting guy. Former construction worker from Baltimore. Went to Philadelphia after being harassed by the cops down there when he became homeless after becoming an alcoholic. I got teary eyes listening to his story.
One of my critical tasks today was re-purposing an old interview I did for my podcast, The Eric Schleien Podcast.
And with that…Day 3 is in the books, finished exactly at 10:28pm ET.
